Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics, Finance, and Quantitative Analysis with a preferred start date of August 2027, but as early as January 2027. This is a nine-month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Economics. Maintain an active research agenda in Economics, particularly in Economics of Education, with emphasis on school choice. Conduct policy-relevant research. Pursue external funding opportunities. Engage in service activities that support the department, college, university, and profession.
An earned doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Economics, or a related discipline is required at the time of hire. Evidence of the ability to conduct scholarly research related to economics, education policy, school choice, or related areas. Evidence of the ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in economics.
Evidence of scholarship in Economics of Education, especially in school choice. Experience conducting policy-relevant research. Potential to secure external funding. Experience teaching economics courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
